About Us

Through innovation and design, Euro Polymers have established a range of high performance waterproofing and protection systems to meet the exacting standards of the UK climate. Our focus has been on creating systems that reduce application times, are simple to apply and offer an excellent price to performance ratio. With speed of application, safety and cost effectiveness considered, we have developed a range of systems that include rapid cure liquids, unique torch applied systems and Polymers enhanced Nano formulations.

With proven reductions in application costs that enhance the construction program delivered via trained and approved applicators. Our extensive Research and Developments have established unique technologies which are at the cutting edge of the waterproofing sector. With systems developed in partnership with the UK’s leading polymer laboratories at Sheffield University and BRE, we are assured of our position as leaders of innovation in our sector.

NANO Technology

Historically, polymer materials (polyurethane) were characterized solely by their bulk properties and thus are referred to in general as bulk polymers.

The bulk properties include;

stiffness
• elongation
• gas permeability
• impact and modulus
Bulk polymer systems can be likened to a blanket of snow lying on a surface.

Adhesive just tethers to the surface of the substrate.

Polyurethane bulk polymers

This technology is around 40 years old and most current polyurethane formulas have changed very little within this time.
Euro Polymers have advanced polymer science to develop formulas for polymer micro and nano structured Eurotec systems. These Nano Polymer Systems bond at a molecular level with bituminous substrates to form an inter-diffused adhesion.
Diffusuve Adhesion

Diffusive forces are somewhat like mechanical tethering at a molecular level: diffusive bonding occurs when species from one surface penetrate into an adjacent surface while still being bound to the phase of their surface of origin.

Sheffield Universities independent test results show;

The peel strengths of the Eurotec material were found to be around twice that of polyurethane on mineralised bitumen and around five times greater on bituminous substrates.

Interdifusion of adhesive into substrate tethers the two at a molecular level.
